01.19.10 - February Exhibition Canceled
Our February artist had to postpone her show due to some travel issues. We are certainly sad about the missed opportunity but are still quite excited to kick off the year with a two artist exhibit in March! More details to come.

12.23.09 - Winter Weather Closings
We are closed today, Wednesday December 23rd and will reopen again on Monday, December 28th. We will also be closed on Thursday the 31st and Friday the 1st, then reopen on the following Monday.

10.25.09 - November First Friday Event
Screen Ink is proud to present new work by artist Ben Swift beginning November 6th in our storefront gallery. The exhibit will feature a variety of new artwork by Swift, including paintings, screen-printed posters and fine art prints, watercolor illustrations, and pieces created under the “eyeskull” moniker.

On opening night, in addition to the fine arts on display, several t-shirt designs will be available for “print-on-demand” application on a variety of ready to wear items, or people may bring their own garments to print on. A limited number of “eyeskull” can koozies and stickers will also be available.

08.01.09 - T-SHIRT DESIGN COMPETITION!
Open Harvest and Screen Ink want your design input! We will be selecting 4 designs and running a limited edition of artist series organic cotton t-shirts to be available at the expanded coop grand opening later this year.

The deadline for entries is September 15th, see our blog for all the details and get inspired!

07.13.09 - August First Friday
On Friday, August 7th, we will be launching the solo exhibition of local artist George Sisson. The artists reception will be from 6-10 on Friday evening. George promised us some brand new pieces so come down and see some new work from a Lincoln veteran of the local art scene.

06.24.09 - Sculptures by Blade
Come on down July 3rd as we celebrate the work of John "Blade" Wiederspan. We will have some photography as well as metal sculptures on display for the month of July. The reception will be held on the first Friday of the month from 6-10pm. Hope to see you down here!

05.15.09 - The Freestyle 50
Come join us to kick off our next exhibition for the month of June. There will be 50 skateboards which have been creatively modified by 38 artists that will be adorning our gallery walls. Reception will be from 6-10pm on Friday, June 5th. Hope to see you down here, it should be a hoot!

04.24.09 - May Artist
Photography by Dave Norris will be on display for the month of May. All black and white prints from Seattle to Dublin, London to New York. Reception will be held on May 1st from 6-10 pm.

03.23.09 - April Artist
Come on down on first Friday and check out the screen print work from Fred at Hosco Press. Reception will be from 7-9 on Friday, April 3rd.

03.16.09 - Blanks?

03.09.09 - Recycled Tshirt Sale
Starting at this very second and ending on Earth day, April 22nd, we are offering our customers a $.50 per shirt discount on both blanks and screen printed recycled cotton garments. Come in and get your soft and comfy organic or recycled cotton tees!

02.17.09 - Posters Posters Posters
We have finally conquered the poster print. We can run up to 19" x 25" poster size. Preferably using spot colors but a process color design might be an exciting challenge for us so do not be afraid to throw it down. Now smaller size printing is certainly possible as well so if you have some cool ideas for fliers, handbills or postcards we can certainly get you some prices for these custom screen printed goodies as well.

02.17.09 - February Artist
We have booked an artist for February. Jason Ortiz, local photographer and designer will have his artwork up for the entire month of February so come on down and check it out. Reception will be Friday, February 6th from 6pm until whenever we retire for the evening!

02.09.09 - Alternatives
Hello World. We have clearly been neglecting to update our site so here is a small plug just to let you know we are still alive! 12.06.08 - November Artist
This month we have an assortment of work by local artist Jason Buckner. He does some tremendous watercolor work as well as mixed media painting. Come and see his work up all month and be sure to come by for his not so common Last Friday reception!

08.16.08 - Our very first art show
The first Friday of every month will kick off our monthly solo art exhibits. A new artist every month will be exclusively adorning our walls with their work. Come and see the works of Lincoln local Jeff Sayers this September! Artist reception will be September 5th from 6pm until we grow tired. Hope to see you there!

06.20.08 - The New Location
Hey All. We have officially moved the shop and are now downtown at 416 South 11th Street. There is still a little bit of work to be done but we still want your business!

05.21.08 - The Big Move!
If all goes well we should be in our new location in downtown Lincoln by August! Sadly, we cannot reveal the exact location to the public yet, but will do so when the doors open to the public. With this more central location we will be offering bicycle deliveries which will be tracked and documented to show how much fuel emissions each delivery saves. We can extrapolate on this feature as the project develops so stay tuned...

10.27.07 - Stella Boutique
Jules from Stella contacted us recently regarding some tshirts she wanted to have printed for her awesome little store in downtown Lincoln. We did a heavily distressed print on the Alternative Apparel Burnout Tees and they turned out pretty great. We will be adding their print to the showcase very soon.

10.27.07 - Mustache Open
Earlier this summer we, once again, printed a run of tshirts for a group of fellas that put together a very unique golf tournament. Well, they have a website now and are planning to spread this tournament across the country so grow that stache, work on your game and check them out. 10.27.07 - Okto Beerfest
Sponsoring this fundraiser for the Nebraska State Stroke Association was extremely fun. We were happy to participate and plan to continue to do so for years to come. There were tons of beer vendors, lots of food, live music (bagpipes!) and a silent auction. Thanks to Darlene the event coordinator for contacting us and thanks to Dustin at Dinger Associates for providing some wonderful design work for the event.
